Khalsa Centre Junior Kaurs Camp (Ages 8-16) July 8-12, 2019

This camp is for Kaurs aged 8-16, who would like to deepen their love for Sikhi with inspirational sangat. It’s a place where Kaurs can be around amazing Sangat and have their love for Sikhi grow. The Sevadaars, Workshop Topics, Gatka and all darbars will be coordinated by up and coming Kaur Sevadars in our local Sikh community.

Campers will meet at 5:30 pm on July 8th  at Khalsa School Old Yale Road (10677 124th Street) and return on July 12th at 10 am at Khalsa School Old Yale Road.



Khalsa Centre Summer Camp (Ages 8+) July 15-July 19, 2019

Summer Camp is for youth between the ages of 8 and 18. There will be a focus on leadership skills as well as connecting our campers to their Sikh heritage. We will also be teaching Gatka and shastar vidiaa. Every day will include morning and evening darbars, workshops, high ropes course, zip-line, rock climbing, paintball, horseback riding, kayaking, archery, adventure training and a lot more, where they can strengthen their leadership skills and as any good leader, step outside their comfort zone.

Campers will meet at 5 pm on July 15th  at Khalsa School Old Yale Road (10677 124th Street) and return on July 19th at 1pm at Khalsa School Old Yale Road.



Khalsa Centre Family Camp–July 12-14, 2019

This camp is focused on families so that they can spend time together learning about the Sikh way of life in a child-friendly environment. This Family Camp will allow families to spend 3 days together in gurdwara, preparing meals, in workshops, creating different arts/crafts, playing sports together, enjoying campfires, rock-climbing, kayaking, high ropes – all in a safe environment. Enjoy the facilities and activities that Khalsa Centre has to offer your family. The cost of this camp is $300/4 and $60 per additional person

Sidak July 21 – August 3, 2019

Sidak is a distinctive leadership development program for young adults seeking to increase their commitment towards the Sikh faith. Sidak explores personal and panthak development through a Gurmat framework based in Bani (wisdom), Tavarikh (history), and Rahit (lifestyle). It is an experiential learning opportunity in which participants learn to pose reflective questions anchored in Sikh ethos to themselves and others to address social issues. The goal of Sidak is to ultimately develop Sikh thought leaders who will play a critical role in creating real, sustainable solutions to pressing panthak and world problems.

This intensive two – week educational experience that focuses on the Sikh way of living offers 3 different tracks:

  • Gurbani 101: Introduction to Guru Granth Sahib
  • Sikhi 101: Introduction to Sikh History & Theology (LIMITED AVAILABILITY)
  • Sikhi 201: Religion & Revolution

Sikh Spirit Bike RideSikh Spirit Bike Ride August 10, 2019

The Sikh Spirit Bike Ride will be on Saturday August 10, 2018; this bike ride is to increase awareness about the Sikh Religion. We are riding for healthy minds, bodies and souls. We have riders from Europe, United States, India and Canada. Registration fee is $50. All riders are encouraged to raise $200 each to cover costs of the ride and also to donate for more recreational programming at Khalsa Centre. WCSYA 25th Annual Summer Camp (Ages 10-18) August 10-18

The West Coast Sikh Youth Alliance (WCSYA) is a not-for-profit youth organized society built to increase awareness and understanding of the Sikh faith, and increase tolerance and knowledge among young people. WCSYA holds yearly camps in quiet wilderness settings, for young people aged 10 to 18, in which the lifestyle of a Sikh is not only taught, but practiced for a one-week time period.
