This camp is for Kaurs aged 8-16, who would like to deepen their love for Sikhi with inspirational sangat. It’s a place where Kaurs can be around amazing Sangat and have their love for Sikhi grow. The Sevadaars, Workshop Topics, Gatka and all darbars will be coordinated by up and coming Kaur Sevadars in our local Sikh community.
Campers will meet at 6 pm on July 9th at Khalsa School Old Yale Road (10677 124th Street) and return on July 12th at 5pm at Khalsa School Old Yale Road.

Summer Camp is for youth between the ages of 8 and 18. There will be a focus on leadership skills as well as connecting our campers to their Sikh heritage. We will also be teaching Gatka and shastar vidiaa. Every day will include morning and evening darbars, workshops, high ropes course, zip-line, rock climbing, paintball, horseback riding, kayaking, archery, adventure training and a lot more, where they can strengthen their leadership skills and as any good leader, step outside their comfort zone.
Campers will meet at 10 am on July 16th at Khalsa School Old Yale Road (10677 124th Street) and return on July 20th at 6pm at Khalsa School Old Yale Road.

Sidak July 22 – August 5, 2018
Sidak is an intensive two – week educational experience that focuses on the Sikh way of living, and outlines different aspects of the history and ideology. This immersion in Sikh culture, language, values and community, through understanding bani (scripture), tvarikh (history), and rahit (discipline), will be held from 22 July – 5 August 2018 by the Sikh Research Institute.
Sidak consists of three different programs that run simultaneously for two weeks:
- Gurbani 101: Introduction to Guru Granth Sahib
- Sikhi 101: Introduction to Sikh History & Theology
- Sikhi 201: Religion & Revolution

The 4th annual Sikh Spirit Bike Ride will be on Saturday August 11, 2018; this bike ride is to increase awareness about the Sikh Religion. We are riding for healthy minds, bodies and souls. We have riders from Europe, United States, India and Canada. Registration fee is $50. All riders are encouraged to raise $200 each to cover costs of the ride and also to donate for more recreational programming at Khalsa Centre. Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Academy’s Family Camp, August 5-9, 2018
The family camp concept was developed in 2004 in Malaysia to unite World Sikh Community by strengthening family ties. This camp focusses on getting individual as well family groups to develop a large united family of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. This camp welcomes individual as well as families without any age restriction nor any pre-requisites. The camp has various activities which are organised on ‘free & easy’ basis which we call learning in fun.
The camp provides family time while having fun and learning based on the concepts of living as described by Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji. Special workshops will be conducted on special topic which relates directly our family life and its challenges.
Families will stay together as a team for the duration of the day with various activities throughout. This is a great camp that can be used as a family vacation. We will have several families attending from England, Scotland, California and Malaysia. Please join us during this very unique camp that will leaving you yearning for more sangat.
Buses will be available for pick up from Vancouver International Airport, Abbotsford Airport and Seatac. Please arrive by 12pm to be picked up. Buses will also be available from Surrey to attend the camp.
