From March 18-22, the Khalsa Centre will be holding its Annual Sikh Youth Spring Camp. The camp is for youth between the ages of 9-16 years. Over the course of the week the youth will be exposed to Sikh ideologies and aspects of Sikh spirituality.

The campers will be introduced to the Sikh way of life through workshops, Gatka (Sikh Martial Arts) training, lectures, and religious darbars that will be held during the mornings and evenings for the duration of the camp.

The attendees will leave for KCMV from Khalsa School (6933 – 124 St. Surrey) by bus at 2pm March 18 and will be back between 12-1pm on March 22, 2012 at Khalsa School for pick up.

There will be a $100.00 fee for the campers. This fee will cover the cost of the campers’ lodging, meals, workshops and recreational rentals.

Satnam Education Society was founded in 1986 to promote the education of Sikhs in British Columbia. Today, the society operates several Khalsa School campuses which educate over 2,500 students. Satnam Education Society has purchased a campsite in Mission, British Columbia, the Khalsa Centre at Miracle Valley(KCMV). KCMV was bought with a vision to further enhance the education of Sikhs in British Columbia. Satnam Education Society believes that positive development begins in childhood. We conduct summer camps which play a vital role in fostering healthy and happy youth. Our staff and volunteers, consist of conscientious and devoted members of our community and they serve as role models for our youth. The camps provide resources and opportunities to ensure that children and youth are well- cared for in a nurturing environment. Recreational activities which are available for use by our campers are horseback riding, high-ropes course, zip-line, rock climbing wall, paintball field, and many water activities.
